Standard Railing Profiles: The Foundation of Every Balustrade
ICS standard railing profiles form the structural backbone of balcony barriers, terrace enclosures and parapet systems. The range includes posts, top rails, bottom rails, mid-rails and adapter pieces designed to work together as a modular kit. Extruded from 6063-T6 aluminium, each profile offers high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance and compatibility with glass, aluminium sheet or bar infill panels. Architects and fabricators appreciate the consistent dimensional tolerances (±0.1 mm) that reduce site rework and speed up installation.
Profile Range and Cross-Section Details
The standard railing catalogue includes over 40 profile cross-sections, from 40×40 mm square posts to 50×30 mm rectangular handrails and U-channel glass holders in 12 mm, 16 mm and 21.52 mm widths. Wall thicknesses range from 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm depending on structural requirements. Mating surfaces feature precision tongue-and-groove or screw-channel details for concealed mechanical connections. All profiles are available in mill finish, anodised (10–20 µm) and polyester powder coat (60–80 µm).

ICS maintains rolling stock of its best-selling railing profiles in natural anodised and RAL 7016 anthracite. Orders up to 500 kg ship within 48 hours from Istanbul. For larger projects, production lead time is typically 10–15 working days including surface treatment.
